Panfilo J. Martinez

Panfilo J. Martinez, 29, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021.

Panfilo Johnny Martinez was born on November 30, 1991 in Montclair, California, to Joseph and Adrianne Martinez. He grew up and attended school in Sullivan. He also loved spending time playing basketball at the Sullivan courts. Panfilo dreamed of being a video game designer.

One of Panfilo’s favorite past times was listening to music. He had even started to write music. He also found peace through reading the Bible and discovering God. Becoming closer to the Lord helped Panfilo through his battles with depression and instilled in him a strong desire to help others. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.

Panfilo is survived by three sons: Kaden Smith, Panfilo Jr., and Urijah Martinez, all of Sullivan, MO; his mother, Adrianne Martinez of Sullivan, MO; his father, Joseph Martinez of Rialto, CA; his grandmother, Sherry Wilson; a brother, Raymond Martinez, of Sullivan, MO; two sisters, Sandra Ayala, Adrianna Lintermoot and husband, Joseph, all of Sullivan, MO; three uncles: Louie Martinez and wife, Blossom, of Sullivan, MO, John Martinez, and Larry Martinez and wife, Isabelle, all of Bakersfield, CA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Martinez; and his great-grandfather, Darrel Wilson.

Graveside Services for Panfilo were held 1 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Buffalo Cemetery in Sullivan.

Visitation was 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
