Michael W. Stout, 73, of Washington, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Mercy Hospital – Washington.

Michael Wayne Stout was born July 12, 1949 in Ironton, Missouri, to Warren and Betty (Dement) Frazee. He grew up and attended grade school in Ironton, later graduating from Steelville High School in 1967. Soon after high school, Mike was drafted into the United States Marine Corps where he honorably served our country for 2 years, spending some time in Vietnam.

Soon after his discharge, Mike went to work for various employers and alongside his father at his convenience store. In his early life, he was blessed with a son, Jacob. Mike later went to work for Meramec Group where he remained for 25 + years working his way to become a supervisor. While at Meramec Group, Mike also owned and operated Stout’s Motorcycle Apparel in Union and would open the store on weekends. After his retirement in 2005, Mike stayed busy operating the store full time.

Mike met the love of his life Mary Payne and was united in marriage on June 14, 1985. Together they blended their families and were blessed with two children of their own, Jamie and Jared. They continued raising their family in Cuba on their family farm where they raised exotic animals of all kinds.

As a family, they enjoyed riding their four-wheelers and hosting Fourth of July Celebrations, Halloween parties and simply treasured time visiting with friends and family. Mike loved to sell various things at flea markets, ride motorcycles and classic cars.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Mary of Cuba, MO; three children: John Payne and significant other, Mikal Pearcy of McMurdo Station, Antarctica, Jamie Weber and husband Anthony of Washington, MO, and Jared Stout of Washington, MO; four grandchildren: Michayla Payne of Edwardsville, IL, Mattalyn, Anton and Theodore Weber of Washington, MO; a great – granddaughter, Lennon Polaski of Edwardsville, IL; six siblings: Richard Frazee and wife Lori of Creve Coeur, MO, Linda Perkins and husband Paul of Steelville, MO, Donna Stibor and husband Jim of Saint Louis, MO, Gary Frazee of High Ridge, MO, Lisa White and husband Paul of Saint Louis, MO, and Laurie Baumann and husband Junior of Ballwin, MO; four sisters-in-law: Linda Gatch and husband Adam and Barbara “Sue” Lahmann and husband Daxton, Virginia “Boody” Forester and Daisy Payne; two brothers-in-law, James “Jimmy” Payne  and John “Johnny” Payne and wife Susan; a lifelong special friend, Gene-o Overhoff; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jacob; his parents, Warren and Betty; his grandparents, Oscar and Nell Dement; a sister-in-law, Sandy Frazee; and a brother-in-law, Jahn Payne.

A Remembrance Memorial Service will be 12 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home. Service will be followed by full military honors.

Visitation will be 10 AM – 12 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home.
