Mary Carol Reiss
Mary Carol Reiss passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at The Arbors at Victorian Place in Cuba, Missouri. Mary passed peacefully the morning of her 87th birthday.
Mary was born December 8, 1935 in Leasburg, MO to Francis and Catherine (Mullen) Reiss. She was a member of the St. Anthony Parish in Sullivan. She lived in Sullivan her entire life. She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1954.
Mary worked as a custodian for the Sullivan School District from 1980-1996, after retiring she was employed in St. Louis by the Liberty Loan Company as a data processor. She loved reading mystery novels and traveling the world. Most of her travels were with the Travel Club at Sullivan Bank. She traveled to Egypt, Israel, Europe and Australia. Mary also was an animal lover and volunteered for Halo for animals, promoting animal adoptions.
Mary is survived by numerous cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Elizabeth J. Ponte.
A graveside service will be on Friday, 10 AM December 16, 2022 at St Anthony’s Parish Cemetery in Sullivan, MO.
Memorial contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
