Mary Blum, age 104, of Sullivan, MO passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Mary Louise was born on December 26, 1917 in St. Louis, MO to Charles H. and Emma L. (Rheinfeld) Remmert. She received her early education in St. Louis and high school in St. Clair, MO. After graduation she attended Sanford Brown Business College and worked in a law office in St. Louis. Later, she was the bookkeeper at the MFA in Bourbon, MO and then for the family trucking business.

On January 6, 1944 she was united in marriage to Frank Blum and they were blessed with two children, Dorothy and Charles. Frank and Mary celebrated 78 years of marriage. Mary was a member of the Nazarene Church in Sullivan, MO. After retirement, they enjoyed camping and traveling around the country. She learned several crafts including rug making, macrame, crocheting and made many quilted wall hangings.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Schebaum of Sullivan, MO; grandchildren, Kenneth Dean Schebaum and wife Candice, Darren Schebaum all of Sullivan, MO, Adam Blum and wife Heather of Arkansas and Dwayne McAmis of Kansas; great-grandchildren, Austin Mesey, Aaron Mesey, Kaitlyn Schebaum, Emma Schebaum, Emilie Blum, Layton Blum, Journee Blum, Taylor McAmis and Jonathan McAmis.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Charles; parents, Charles and Emma Remmert; an infant brother, son-in-law, Ralph Schebaum and grandson, Daniel McAmis.

A memorial service was conducted at 3 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor John Blackmore officiating. Interment of cremains followed in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m., Monday at the Eaton Funeral Home.
