Mary ‘Fran’ Carter

Fran Carter, 70, of Sullivan, MO, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Mary Frances was born on October 31, 1951 in Sullivan, Missouri to the late Virgil Edgar and Leola Earlene (Seaton) Weirich. Fran grew up and attended grade school at Spring Bluff and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1969. She was united in marriage to James Emery Carter on January 9, 1971 and they were blessed with two children, Christy and Gabe. Fran was employed in the shoe industry, working for Midwest and Brown Shoe. Lastly, she worked for Aerofil Technology for 20 years.
Fran was a loving and kind individual. She adored her grandchildren and they brought much joy into her life. Fran enjoyed reading, playing games, fishing, Bingo trips with the ladies, and just spending time with family and friends.
Fran is survived by her two children, Christy McGraw and husband Zach of Sullivan, MO and Gabe Carter and fiancé Kristen of New Haven, MO; five grandchildren: Nicole and Johnny Birge of Tampa, FL, Isaac McGraw of Sullivan, MO, Jayson and Zane Carter of New Haven, MO; four step-grandchildren: Nathan, Trace and Teagen McGraw, all of Sullivan, MO and Ashli McGraw of Owensville, MO; one brother, Michael Weirich and wife Charlene of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Lynn Woolley of Sullivan, MO; brother-in-law, Glen Carter and wife Debbie of Sullivan, MO; nieces & nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Carter; her parents, Virgil and Earlene Weirich; one sister, Debbie Bolin and husband Alfred; father and mother-in-law, Henry and Verna Carter; and brother-in-law, Mark Wooley.
Cremation arrangements have taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
