Marianne Rose Hamblin

passed away at her home on Friday, November 4, 2022, after a long battle with COPD and lung cancer.

Marianne was born in Phil- adelphia, PA on September 4, 1956 and was one of seven children born to Abraham & Hazel Marie Gitlin.

Marianne enjoyed being a mother and her children were her pride and joy. She sup- ported her kids in everything they did, from boy scouts, girl scouts, band, track, to JROTC. She loved throwing birthday parties when the kids were little. She was ahead of

her time in making specialty themed cakes for her kid’s parties! Marianne loved the holidays with her family. She was known for her delicious food, especially her stuffing on Thanksgiving! She loved taking her kids to see all of the Christmas lights and started this tradition with her niece back in Pennsylvania. Her two favorite vacations were taking her oldest two to Disneyland for the first time, and then driving across the country from California to Tennessee with them, & taking her youngest to Oahu, Hawaii!

Marianne was married to a Marine and thus lived all over our beautiful country, from North Carolina, Hawaii, Tennessee, and finally residing in Missouri. Marianne loved being a Marine wife and was a proud American. She instilled this Patriotism into her three children. One of Marianne’s proudest moments was when her son became a United States Marine. Marianne’s father was in the Army and served in WWII, so to have raised a third-generation military man meant a lot to her.

Marianne loved having a good time, and especially loved making people laugh. In fact, her laugh was contagious. She enjoyed adventure and as a teen she loved riding the train with her siblings to go into Philly and hang out. She enjoyed gambling and gaming. She loved the slot machines, especially Wheel of Fortune! She was known to have lucky streaks and was happy to pass those lucky streaks onto her kids.

Marianne is survived by her three children: Michael (Stephanie), Mindy (Michael), & Rebecca (Adam). Her four beautiful grandchildren: Ad- dison, Samantha, Joseph, & Claire. Her siblings: Patricia, LuAnn, & William. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, & her siblings: Cass, Edwina, & Lorraine.

A private memorial will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Marianne’s name to the Semper Fi Fund.

Online condolences may be shared with Marianne’s family at www.eatonfuneralhome. com.
