Marcus D. Emory, 48, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on May 10, 2023, in Sullivan, Missouri.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 1, 1974 to Terry and Shirley (Birdsong) Emory, Mark lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends.

Raised in a close-knit family, Mark attended Salem R3 and Yukon, OK grade schools before graduating from Sullivan High School in 1992. During his high school years, he participated in various activities such as the marching band drumline, football team, and served as a class officer. He later attended ITT Technical College in Earth City, MO, where he developed his passion for technology and honed his skills in problem-solving.

Mark built a successful career working at Direct TV, American Family Insurance, and Asurion Insurance, where he dedicated 10 years of service. His colleagues remember him as a hardworking, dependable, and knowledgeable team player who was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Mark had a wide range of interests that showcased his talent for fixing and creating things. He especially loved trucks and woodworking. He was known for his ability to fix anything, from construction projects to tinkering with engines. His natural aptitude for problem-solving made him a go-to person for friends and family in need of assistance.

As a father, Mark was sensible and always wanted the best for his children. He was stubborn and bullheaded at times, but his devotion to his family and caring nature never wavered. Mark married Samantha Line on February 14, 2010, in Las Vegas, NV, and together, they were blessed with two beautiful children.

Mark will be remembered as a loving husband, a supportive father, and a reliable friend. His unwavering dedication to his family, his passion for helping others, and his ability to bring laughter and joy to those around him will be greatly missed.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Samantha-Line Emory; his son, Kyle Line of Stafford, Missouri; his daughter, Katherine Line of Stafford, MO; his parents, Terry and Shirley Emory; his brother, Thomas Emory, and wife Jamie Parker-Emory of Pacific, MO; his sister, Lisa Emory-Gunter and husband Jonathan of Fredericktown, MO; and his mother and father-in-law, Sherry and Mike Hensley of Aurora, MO.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Marie Emory, and maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Birdsong.

Arrangements for cremation have taken place. No services are planned at this time.
