Lonnie Ray Morris of Bourbon, MO departed this life in Sullivan, MO on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, having reached the age of fifty-eight years, eight months and six days. Lonnie was born in Clarendon, TX on April 27, 1965, son of Graham Morris and Mary Morris nee Garrison.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Karen Lorraine Matthews nee Duncan; and many friends.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents.

Lonnie previously had a career in various rodeos. He was employed by Williams Brothers Trucking Company and also owned his own trucking company, Mustang Trucking, LLC. He owned a farm in Spring Bluff, MO where he raised horses and operated a backhoe company for ten years. For the last ten years he made Bourbon, MO his home. He had many friends in the Spring Bluff and Bourbon area and he treasured them all and enough can’t be said about how much his friends meant to him. Lonnie simply adored his pet cat Callie, that he bottle-fed and raised from a kitten. He was a friendly and outgoing man that cherished the time spent with his friends. The many precious memories they all created together will never be forgotten.

A kind and loving husband and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will take place at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Town Tavern, 465 E. Pine Street, Bourbon, MO. A private committal will take place at a later date. The family of Lonnie Ray Morris entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
