Lois A. Stubblefield, 78, of Sullivan, MO passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Meramec Nursing Center.

Lois Ann Stubblefield was born March 15, 1944 in Sullivan, MO to Raymond and Velma (Luecke) Danz. She grew up and attended both grade school and junior high at Spring Bluff School, later transferring and graduating from Sullivan High School, class of 1962.

Lois met the love of her life, William “Billy” Stubblefield, and they were soon united in marriage on August 3, 1963. To this union they were blessed with three children: Bryan William, Bernita Ann, & Barbara Jean. They raised their family in the Spring Bluff area as Lois remained a wonderful homemaker. In 1974, she became employed with the Bank of Sullivan where she worked as a bookkeeper for 25 years.

Lois and Billy were baptized into Christ in the Meramec River after a church revival on August 1, 1976. Together, they were longtime members of the Sullivan Christian Church. In her younger years, Lois also served as a Sunday School Teacher.

Lois was an avid gardener, she loved animals and had several of her own, including her beloved pup, Daisey. She loved antiques and treasured time spent with her family, especially at the Lake of the Ozarks. Lois would often times talk about and wonder who her children would blossom into. Needless to say, she was so proud of who they have become.

Above all, Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Lois is survived by her son, Bryan Stubblefield and wife, Cheryl, of Sullivan, MO; two daughters, Bernita Richardson and husband, Brad, of Leslie, MO, and Barbara Voss and husband, Kevin, of Washington, MO; nine grandchildren: Bryanna Beine and husband, Bill, Sarah Funkhouser and husband, Gerry, Willie Stubblefield, Logine Pohlman, Annie Tyree and husband, Austin, Baylee, Brooklin, Brendin and Blake Voss; six great-grandchildren: Dominick, Colton and Emma Beine, Carson, Bradley & Amelia Funkhouser; three sisters: Joy Underdown, Karen Willis and husband, Floyd, and Glora Turner and husband, James; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Stubblefield; her beloved pup, Daisey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Stubblefield; her parents, Raymond & Velma Danz; in-laws, Floyd and Anna Loetta Stubblefield; and two brothers-in-law, Pleys Underdown & James Martin.

Funeral Services will be 10 AM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Sullivan Christian Church with Pastor Greg Medlin officiating. Interment will follow in Dutch Hill Cemetery in Sullivan.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Franklin County Humane Society.
