Lillian E. DeLisle

Lillian E. DeLisle, 89, of Bourbon, MO, died peacefully at home on April 16, 2022 surrounded by family members. She was born March 4, 1933 in Licking, MO to the late Roy and Mamie Carlton. In Lillian’s early life she was united in marriage to Elvin Mansfield. Together they were blessed with five children, Terry, Charlotte, Sherry, Sheila & Diane. Sadly, they later divorced.

Lillian is survived by brother Donald Carlton, son Terry Mansfield and his wife Kayoko, daughter Charlotte Hoffmann, daughter Sheila Volner and her partner Joe, daughter Dianne Gillette and her husband Jeremy, and Sherry Mace and her husband Bernie. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews, as well as many good friends.

In addition to her parents and husband Elvin Mansfield, Lillian was preceded in death by her second husband, William “Bill” DeLisle; a sister Juanita Crites, brothers David Carlton, Ray Carlton, Eugene Carlton, and James Carlton, as well as granddaughter Erika Mansfield.

Later in life, in 1976, Lillian was united in marriage to William “Bill” DeLisle. Together they shared many memories in life. Bill passed away in 2014.

Until she retired, Lillian worked in various jobs over the years. She was passionately devoted to her family and loved them all dearly. She also enjoyed the company of many pets, especially her beloved BFF dog Lucky.

She was a diehard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Hallmark and Lifetime movies (especially Christmas-themed ones), TV soap operas, social media, and most of all, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Lillian will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her wishes were to be cremated. No services are scheduled at this time. The family is cared for by Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan.
