Libby M. Finney, 85, of Sullivan, MO, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 26, 2022.

Libby Marie Finney was born in Opdyke, Illinois, on October 5, 1936, to Richard and Edna (Doerr) Mayberry. She grew up and attended school in Opdkye, then relocated to Cuba, MO, where she met the love of her life, Walter Finney. Walter & Libby were soon united in marriage on December 20, 1958. To their union, they were blessed with two children, Robert and Ann. Together they raised their family in Spring Bluff. Libby was a homemaker throughout her children’s childhood. Later in life, Libby was employed by Paramount Headwear for over 20 years. After retiring from Paramount, Libby did work part-time for Aerofil for just a few years.

Libby was a lover of all things Elvis and a phenomenal cook, especially Thanksgiving meals. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, most of all her grandchildren. She was a strong-willed woman, who was unwavering in her devotion and love for both her late husband Walter and her children. She will be so dearly missed and lovingly remembered by those who were fortunate enough to love her.

Libby is survived by her son, Robert Finney and wife Tammie of Sullivan, MO; her daughter, Ann Hays and husband Mike of Lonedell, MO; five grandchildren: Teresa Immekus and husband Ryan of Bourbon, MO, Christina Ly and husband Fong of Cushing, OK, Ashley Tucker of Bourbon, MO, Michelle Hays of Lonedell, MO, and Michael Hays and wife Katie of Lonedell, MO; eight great-grandchildren: Kamryn, Megan, Brandon, Bentley, Brody, Michael, Fang and Chan; one great-great-granddaughter, Arianna; four brothers: Charles Mayberry of Lafayette, Ind., James Mayberry of Pasadena, TX, Bob Mayberry of Reynoldsburg, OH, and John Mayberry of Richview, IL; a brother-in-law, Al Finney of Avon, IN; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her parents, Richard and Edna; a sister, Louise Brown; a brother-in-law, Roy Finney; two sisters-in-law, Neva and Betty Finney; and her father and mother-in-law, Wilber and Marie Finney.

Funeral Services were 6 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home, with Mr. Blake Beckett officiating.

Visitation was held from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
