Leslie “Scott” Martin, 57, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Missouri Baptist Hospital – St. Louis, after a long struggle with his health.

L. Scott Martin was born in Phoenix, AZ, on April 2, 1964. After graduating high school in Springfield, MO, Scott joined the United States Marines. He truly loved his time in the Marines. He married Tammy and they were blessed with a daughter, Jessica, and eventually three beautiful grandchildren: Lilly, Mathew and Josalyne. After his marriage ended, Scott moved back to Missouri. He then went back to school and became a truck driver for trail liners. Eventually his ill health caused his kidneys to go bad, so he went to nursing school and became and EMT. He was a proud EMT in Rolla, MO.

Scott loved fishing and shooting, but not hunting. He liked to talk too much for hunting. He also loved motorcycles and good friends. He made the best he could of his short life. He was so loved by his family and will be missed.

Scott is survived by three cousins, who he grew up with and were more like siblings to him, Lil Bob, Tracy and Monalisa; his half-sister, Janet; many cousins in the Scott family, as well as other extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Betty (Scott) Martin; and his adoptive parents, Bob and Lucy White.

A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held at a later date.

Online condolences may be shared with Scott’s family at www.eatonfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.
