Leroy Irvin Eoff
Leroy Irvin Eoff of Bourbon, MO was born on Tuesday, July 16, 1935, in Leasburg, MO, to James “Jim” Eoff and Hazel Eoff, nee Osborne. He passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his home in Bourbon, MO, at the age of 88 years, 11 months, and 27 days.
Leroy was born and raised in Leasburg, MO. He worked for Steelweld Equipment Company in St. Clair, MO for many years and worked as a carpenter later in life. Leroy married the love of his life Helen Louise Merritt on March 14, 1959, in Leasburg, MO and two children were born to this union, Debbie and Tracy. Leroy enjoyed horseback riding, being outdoors, gardening, cutting wood and doing hay. He loved building bird houses and even built a wagon for his ponies to take on rides. Leroy loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Hazel Eoff; parents-in-law Albert and Maude Merritt; brothers baby Jimmy Eoff, James Eoff, Robert Eoff, Lloyd Eoff, and Albert Eoff; sisters Gladine (Jim) Land and Bonnie (Jess) Bachover, Della Cook; brothers-in-law Ron Roach, Louis Valley, and Buddy Merritt; sisters-in-law Doris (Ed) Lakaner and Loretta (Bud) Miller; and great granddaughter Juliet King.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen Louise Eoff of Bourbon, MO; children, Debbie King of Cuba, MO and Tracy Eoff of Bourbon, MO; grandchildren, James King of Sedalia, MO and Ricky (Monica) King of Sullivan, MO; great grandchildren Zakary King of Cuba, MO, Haley King, Harlee King, and Holden King all of Sullivan, MO; sisters Dorothy (John) Veach of Cuba, MO and Ruth Ann Roach of Sullivan, MO; brother-in-law Ronnie Merritt (Sue Jost) of Cherryville, MO; sisters-in-law Alice Valley of Bourbon, MO and Judy Merritt of Steelville, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside Service was at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, MO with Pastor Duncan Stiles officiating.
