Leonard McKimm, Jr.

Leonard Duane McKimm, Jr., 80, of Cuba, MO, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Mercy Hospital – Washington.

Leonard was born on August 16, 1941 in Kellogg, Idaho to the late Leonard and Juanita May (Elkins) McKim, Sr. He served his country in the United States Air Force from July 2, 1959 to May 28, 1963. Leonard was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Damron on May 23, 1990 and they had many wonderful years together. Leonard was employed by the former Chrysler Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1994.  Leonard and Barbara lived in Illinois before moving to Sullivan. They made their home in Sullivan for 20 years before making their final home in Cuba for the past 40 years. Leonard enjoyed hunting and fishing and working in his garage.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Barbara McKimm, of Cuba, MO; three children: Diana Ohlrich and husband Scott of Macedonia, OH, Ronald McKimm of Steelville, MO and Robert McKimm of AZ; seven grandchildren: Ashley Hopper and husband Ethan of Cuba, MO, Jennifer Moran and husband “G” of Chagrin Falls, OH, Zackary Balogh of VA, Andrew Balogh of Wheaton, IL, Perrin and Jase McKimm, both of AZ, and Dakota McKimm of Cuba, MO; five great-grandchildren: Gryfyn, Aydyn, Kevin, Teagan and Chance; one brother, Morris “Jack” McKim and wife Dorothy of Snowflake, AZ; one sister, Judy Webb and husband Bob of Glendale, AZ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Along with his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by one brother, Dave McKim.

Cremation services arrangements have taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
