Leo M. Wiese, 83, of Bourbon, MO passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Life Care Center of Sullivan.

Leo Melvin Wiese was born on June 18, 1939 in Sullivan, MO to Harry Melvin and Allie Frances (Bell) Wiese. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1957. Leo was blessed with four children: Lynne, Lane, Leroy, and Lance.

Leo was employed by Carden Machine as a tool and die maker, he sold real estate for Walker Reed Reality, he owned many rental properties, and worked as a carpenter. Most of all, he loved being a farmer. Cows were his hobby, and riding his gator and collecting antiques were the things he enjoyed most. Leo will be missed by his family and many friends.

Leo is survived by his four children: Lynne Ledbetter and husband Phil of Cape Girardeau, MO, Lane Wiese and wife Sherri of Sullivan, MO, Leroy Wiese and wife Diana of Cabot, AR, and Lance Wiese and wife Michelle of Bourbon, MO; fifteen grandchildren: Becky Schulz and husband J.J., Marc Ledbetter, Ashley Bader and husband James, Cole Schmidt, Luke Wiese and fiancé Maddie Hines, Josh Wiese, Morgan Fonda and husband Ed, Logan Wiese and wife Caitlin, Landan Wiese Cornish and spouse Cecil, Levi Wiese, Lake Wiese, Allie Wiese, Liam Wiese, Myles Beckett and wife Anna, and Devon Payne and wife Tiffany; twenty-one great-grandchildren: Grady and Ramsey Schulz, Alexis and Michael Ledbetter, Ryleigh, Colton, and Kinsleigh Bader, Lincoln and Lainey Wiese, Kallie, Ezekiel, Mayleigh, and Rosalee Fonda, Emma, L. J., and Lou Wiese, Presley and Carter Beckett, and Abbi, Andi, and Finn Payne; one sister, Joyce Elsperman of Sullivan, MO; one niece and two great-nieces; special friends, Mike and Debbie Bartle and Jimmy Fujimoto, all of Bourbon, MO; other extended relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Frances Wiese; and one brother-in-law, Rob Elsperman.

Funeral services were 12 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Leroy Wiese officiating. Interment followed in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
