Lavada Schulte
She was born March 15, 1931, to Joseph and Clarsey (Hafley) Fisher in Rosebud.
She was united in marriage to Henry Herman Schulte Oct. 19, 1952, at Boeuff Presbyterian Church in Gerald.
Lavada was a member of Boeuff Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, dancing and working the farm with her husband, Henry. She was president of the Strain-Japan R-16 Community Club, had been a telephone operator at the central office in Gerald for a few years and also had worked at Bloemke's Tom Boy Store.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clarsey; husband, Henry; brothers, Oral, Maynard "Red" and Elmer Fisher; and sisters, Iva Grube, Ruby Haddox, Irene Wilson and Millicient Ehlers.
She is survived by her sons, David and Eugene Schulte of Strain.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Gerald with Rev. Ron Kopplemann officiating. Burial was in Schmidt Cemetery in Strain.
