Lacey N. Garcia

Lacey N. (Stroup) Garcia, 31, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

Lacey Nicole (Stroup) Garcia was born April 10, 1990 in Sullivan, MO, and was adopted into Woodrow and Carolyn (Courtway) Stroup’s family. She attended Sullivan schools for just a couple of years before Carolyn began homeschooling her. At age 18, Lacey was able to meet her birth parents, Karl Baksai & Viola Rogers.

Shortly after high school, Lacey was blessed with a son, Jacob Hagy. She later married Phillip Garcia, and they were blessed with two more children, Zandr and Pyper. Lacey loved her children with a passion.

Lacey enjoyed camping in Colorado, and even lived there for some time. She also enjoyed spending time riding horses. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Lacey is survived by her three children: Jacob, Zandr, & Pyper; her mother, Carolyn Stroup of Sullivan, MO; her birth mother, Viola Rogers of Denver, NC; four brothers, Chris Stroup and wife Carrie of Sullivan, MO, Kevin Stroup of Richwoods, MO, Stacy Stroup of Sullivan, MO & Karl Baksai and wife Erica of Peoria, IL; three sisters: April Cotter and husband Michael of Scott Air Force Base, IL, Sasha Baksai and husband Ronnie of Peoria, IL & Julie Johnson and husband Alexander of Louisburg, KS; a sister-in-law, Cindy Stroup of Florence, SC; & other relatives & many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, JR Stroup; her birth father, Karl Baksai; one brother, Jason Stroup; one sister, Amber Tyler; and one sister-in-law, Sonia Stroup.

Arrangements for cremation have taken place. A private family service was also held.
