Keith B. Brant, 89 of Sullivan, MO passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 as the result of an automobile accident.

Keith was born on June 24, 1933 in Sullivan, MO to Charles and Beatrice (Thurmond) Brant. He attended and graduated from Sullivan High School class of 1951. Keith honorably served his country in the United States Army from June 17, 1953 to May 18, 1955. He was united in marriage to Ellen Schmidt, and they were blessed with three children, Deron, Brian and Kylene. Keith and Ellen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary several years ago and enjoyed a wonderful celebration with family and friends.

Keith was employed by Zero Manufacturing for nine years and Wagner Electric for four years. However, he spent most of his working years as a salesman for Modern Garage where he worked for the Schmidt family from 1964 until 2020, officially retiring after 56 years of service. Many young people purchased their first car from Keith.  Keith was a people person and never met a stranger. He loved his family and many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Keith volunteered as a school board member for forty plus years at Spring Bluff School. He loved raising cattle and farming which he continued to do until his passing.   

Keith is survived by his wife Ellen (Schmidt) Brant of Sullivan, MO; three children, Deron Brant, Brian Brant and Kylene Brant and special friend Matt Burke all of Sullivan, MO; two grandchildren, Elli and Kenzi Brant; niece, Wanda Ensley of California; many brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Beatrice (Thurmond) Brant; one brother, Clark Brant; two sisters, Eunice and Carol Brant.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Ray L. Schatz officiating. Interment will be in Cave Spring Cemetery, Sullivan, MO with full military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Kids with Cancer, in honor of Harper Creek.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
