Karen Marie Graybill, 72, of Leasburg, MO, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Sullivan.

Karen was born on May 8, 1949 in Princeton, MO, to Charles Marvin and Eva Marie (Roland) Elmore. She grew up and attended school in northwest Missouri and graduated from Princeton High School, class of 1967. Karen was united in marriage to Marvin Willis in June of 1967 and they resided in Iowa, where Karen worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Karen and Marvin eventually divorced.

Karen and her second husband, Bill Weddle, relocated to Prairie Grove, AR, where she worked at Arvest Bank for several years. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2003.

Karen loved music and she was very gifted at playing the French horn and the piano. She also enjoyed cross stitching, playing games and her chocolate cokes! Karen loved animals of all kinds, but she especially loved paint horses and dogs. She was known for keeping her Christmas tree up through the year.

Karen was united in marriage to Taylor Whitley Graybill on March 1, 2006 in Clayton, NM. They enjoyed many years together and had recently moved to Leasburg to be near her family. They truly were together until the end, as both of them passed away on the same day, within four hours of one another. They will be lovingly remembered and missed by their family and friends.

Karen is survived by her three siblings: Christy Nigh and husband, Ed, of Bourbon, MO, John Elmore and wife, Molly, of San Diego, CA, and Rusty Elmore and wife, Teresa, of Cainsville, MO; her husband Taylor’s two children, Koll Graybill and wife, Becky, of Sublette, KS, and Toni Lynch and husband, Matthew, of Buffalo, OK; along with Taylor’s four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law: Carol Peeble of North Carolina, Emma Dee Escott of Michigan,  Billie Hammond of Arizona, and Arlene Ogan of Missouri; nieces and nephews, cousins, other extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Graybill; and her parents, Marvin Elmore and Eva Lawrence.

Cremation arrangements will be taking place. Memorial Services for Karen and Taylor are being planned for a later date, in southwest Kansas.
