Kaitlyn Rhoads, 18, of Sullivan, MO passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 in Sullivan.

Kaitlyn Marie Rhoads was born August 4, 2004 in Washington, MO to Nathan and Brandy (Winters) Rhoads. Those that had the opportunity to know Kaitlyn, know what an extremely talented and creative person she was in life. Kaitlyn loved music, especially singing. She found great enjoyment singing with the Bourbon High School Choir. Kaitlyn was a gifted artist. Over the years she could be found sketching portraits of people. Many will remember her very dry sense of humor, sometimes making a statement and then awkwardly waiting for one’s response.

Kaitlyn was a very loving and caring big sister to her siblings. She was always looking out for them and making sure they were alright. She had a tremendous heart for her kitties, Luna and Gretel. Among other interests, Kaitlyn enjoyed going for walks where she found peace and gaming with friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Kaitlyn is survived by her parents: Brandy Winters and Nathan and Felicia Rhoads all of Sullivan; her siblings:  Olivia Rhoads, Easton Kitchen, Lane & Danica Bowers all of Sullivan; grandparents: Craig and Diane Winters of Wildwood, MO, Paula Rhoads of Cuba, MO, and Charles Rhoads (and significant other, Lena Braswell) of Bourbon, MO; great-grandmothers: Sandra Winters of Eureka, MO and Anna Mae Rhoads of Granite City, IL; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lori Fox; and great-grandparents:  Jerry & Jackie Meyer and Charlie Rhoads.

Memorial Services was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, MO with Pastor Jim Huitt officiating. Inurnment followed at Bourbon Cemetery in Bourbon, MO.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions in Kaitlyn’s memory may be made to The Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide.
