Joseph A. Beckett, 66, of Bourbon, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Joseph Allen Beckett was born May 30, 1957 to Adolph and Mabel (Ennis) Beckett in Bourbon, Missouri. Joe grew up in Bourbon and was a proud graduate of Bourbon High School's class of 1975. After graduation, Joe chose to stay in the area, taking on various roles at the Onondaga State Park. He was best known as the friendly and helpful camp host, a position that allowed him to share his love for the outdoors with others.

In 1982, Joe married the love of his life, Theresa Hinch, and together they blended their families and later welcomed two more daughters. Joe's role as a family man was the one he cherished most, ensuring that his home was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Professionally, Joe embarked on a successful career at Paramount Apparel, where his commitment and leadership skills led him to retire as the supervisor of distribution in 2020.

Joe's passions extended beyond his work and family life. He was an avid outdoorsman who relished every opportunity to be in nature, whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the fresh air. His annual trips to Florida were a highlight, a tradition he started with his daughters and continued with Theresa, long after the girls had grown.

Joe also had a knack for restoring cars. Alongside his beloved nephew, Mike Kuenzel, he spent countless hours working on various projects, including his prized panel truck and a Monte Carlo. These restorations were more than just hobbies; they were a bond shared with family and a legacy of craftsmanship.

Despite his tough exterior, Joe was known for his enormous heart. He was incredibly forgiving, with a sense of humor that could light up any room. Joe was a friend to everyone he met; never knowing a stranger.

Above all, Joe treasured his role as a grandfather. His grandbabies were the apple of his eye, especially his sunshine, Brooke. Each diagnosis he faced over the years was met with the same resilience and determination that defined his life. Joe never wavered, facing each challenge with grit and grace.

Joe's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering strength. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an adored grandfather. His impact on the lives he touched is immeasurable.
