John Lee McMurtry

John Lee McMurtry, born October 28, 1940, passed away peacefully at his home in Palm Springs, CA on September 23, 2021.
Born in Quincy, IL, John was a loving father to Michelle Eckard, Laura (Jeff) McGee and Johnny McMurtry, sister to Jackie Wilson, and family to ex-wife Judy McMurtry.
John loved his family, friends, the casino, golf, baseball and lots of activities. As a world traveler, he lived in Sullivan for a period of time. His time here was when the Cardinals won the World Series in 2011.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mildred McMurtry, and a son-in-law, Donn Eckard.
