Jeffrey J. Licklider,55, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 03, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Jeffrey was born July 25, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Eugene and Joan (Davis) Licklider.  He grew up in the “Dogtown” neighborhood in St. Louis where he attended high school.  As a young man, he held various jobs and became the primary caregiver for his mother.  In 1995, Jeffrey was blessed with his daughter, Taylor.  After his mother’s passing, he moved to the Sullivan area and became a river rat. It was while working at a local campground Jeffrey met Kelly Hill and soon after they became life partners. Together they blended their families and he became the father figure to her two sons, Tyler and Benjamin.

Jeffrey loved the outdoors especially being on the river. He was also quite the cook and loved to entertain. He loved being around people and people loved being around Jeffrey.  He had a quick wit and a natural sense of humor that made people laugh and feel at ease around him.  He was a talented handyman and enjoyed working at Executive Wood Products in Sullivan.  Above all else Jeffrey was an awesome father and grandfather.  He loved life and loved his family and will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jeffrey is survived by his life partner, Kelly Hill, of Sullivan, MO; his daughter, Taylor Smith of Hazelwood, MO; two stepsons, Tyler Blake and Benjamin Radosh of Sullivan, MO; a grandson, Myles Nantz of Hazelwood, MO; three siblings: Eugene Licklider and his wife, Sherry, of Belle, MO, Dennis Licklider and wife, Carol, of Sullivan, MO and Debbie Bayer and husband, Mike, of Fenton, MO.
