Janet Irene (Baker) Schoolcraft

Janet Irene Schoolcraft, age 87, passed away on November 27, 2023, in Fulton, Missouri. She was born on July 31, 1936, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Robert L. and Alice Baker. Janet was a devoted and hard-working wife and mother, known for her caring and loving nature.

Before her marriage, Janet worked in a hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan. She later dedicated many years as a manager at Apollo Fireworks in Stanton, Missouri. Janet’s strong work ethic and dedication were evident throughout her life.

Janet had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, and solving jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She also found solace in bird watching, appreciating the beauty of nature.

Janet's family meant the world to her. She leaves behind a loving legacy and will be deeply missed by her son Steven (wife Sheilah) Schoolcraft and children Kyle Schoolcraft, Haley (husband Gary) Allen, Andy (wife Lacy) Spurgeon and Aaron Spurgeon; son Kevin (wife Cindy) Schoolcraft with their children Stephanie (husband Robert) LePage, Christian (wife Mariah) Schoolcraft and Cameron Schoolcraft; son Brett (wife Kelley) Schoolcraft and their children Dustin and Derek Schoolcraft; and son Chris Schoolcraft with his daughters Lynn (husband Kenny) Woodard and Britni (fiancé Mike) Schoolcraft. She was further blessed with 15 great-grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her former husband, John Schoolcraft, as well as her father, Robert L. Baker, mother, Alice Baker, and brother, Mike Baker.

Janet Irene Schoolcraft will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature, always extending her love and friendship to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
