Jane Marie Schmitt

Jane Marie Schmitt, 67, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Sullivan.

Jane was born in Rolla, MO on March 16, 1955 to Virgil Charles and Evelyn Laura (Graddy) Schmitt. She attended and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1974. Jane was a thirty-year employee of Paramount Apparel where she worked in the packing department. She enjoyed listening to the Sullivan High School Band and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Jane will be missed by her beloved family.

Jane is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Ware and husband Shannon of Sullivan, MO and Joyce Faye Topolski of Rolla, MO; one brother, Charles Schmitt of Sullivan, MO; her nieces and nephews: Laura Erxleben and husband Chris, Christopher Ware and fiancé Tessa McIntosh, Megan Ware, Gary Whitney and wife Kim, Michelle Bellmer and husband Bart, Tiffany Bandowski and husband Richard, Charles Scheer and wife Shannon, and Melissa Whitford and husband Nathan; great-nieces and nephews: Cobe Erxleben, Jaxon, Adelyn, and Logan Scheer, Brandon and Alexis Whitford, Stephanie Merriman and husband Josh, Ryan Whitney and fiancé Tiffany Skaggs, Brandon Monroe, and Hannah Bandowski; great-great-nephews: Weston, Carter, and Cameron Merriman; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Evelyn Schmitt; three sisters: Judy, Shirley, and Susan Schmitt; one brother, Allen Schmitt; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan – Father Tim Henderson officiate and Jane’s nephew, Gary Whitney, will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in Holy Martyrs Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
