James E. Schmidt

James Edward Schmidt, Sr., 86, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Life Care Center of Sullivan.

James was born in Leslie, MO, on June 2, 1935, the son of Otto and Cathern (Aden) Schmidt. He lived and worked around Sullivan for most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. He had two marriages; his daughter, Sherry, and his son, James Jr., were from the first marriage. His daughter Robbin was from the second marriage.

James is survived by his son, James Jr.; his daughter, Robbin; his sister, Carol and one brother-in-law, John; as well as his grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was well liked by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sherry; three sisters: Mabel, Doris and Helen; and three brothers-in-law: Butch, Marion and Jerry.

Graveside Services was held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Buffalo Cemetery, with Elder Simon Rabjohns officiating.
