James Arvin Turner

James Arvin Turner was born on January 14, 1976, in Lampasas County, Texas, and passed away  on November 10, 2023,  at his home in Sullivan, MO. A man known for his craftiness and keen intellect, James was beloved by many for his kind nature and vibrant spirit.

After earning his college degree, James dedicated his life to various pursuits demonstrating his gift for creating and caring. He was a skilled landscaper who brought many gardens to life, touching others with the beauty of his work. Besides landscaping, James honed his artistic side in St. Louis, where he crafted pool cues of exceptional beauty. His attention to detail and love of craft made each piece unique.

Perhaps James' most rewarding role was caring for his beloved mother over many years. He showed incredible strength, gentle love, and selflessness during this time. His ability to nurture extended beyond his family; it was deeply etched into every corner of his life.

James transformed ordinary items into extraordinary pieces, a testament to his intelligence and creativity. He found joy in refurbishing a vintage Volkswagen, making it gleam with renewed life and spirit. Further demonstrating his craftiness, he constructed a tiny house that stood as a testament to his resourcefulness and craftsmanship.

Above all, his greatest source of pride and joy was his adored daughter Madison and grand-daughter Elara, James loved them both deeply.

James is survived by his daughter, Madison Turner and her significant other, Dominick Etter of Rolla, MO; one beloved granddaughter, Elara Etter of Rolla, MO; one brother, Jeff Turner; one sister, Tishia Tsiptsis, and other relatives and friends.

Cremation services have taken place. There will be no services at this time.
