Jacqueline S. Hubbell, 57, of Bourbon, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Jacqueline Sue Hubbell was born on September 30, 1964 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Martha (Whittis) Duke. She grew up and attended school in Louisville, graduating from Iroquois High in 1982. She then furthered her education at Sullivan Business College to receive her associates degree in Business Management. Shortly after college, Jackie met the love of her life, Greg Hubbell and together they were united in marriage on July 26, 1986. Greg soon enlisted into the United States Army, and together they made their home in Fort Bragg, NC while Greg served our country for nine years.

After his service, Jackie and Greg moved back to Louisville, Kentucky and Jackie went to work for Liberty Tax for a short time, then for the US Census in the Geography department for 10 + years. She later retired to become a wonderful housewife and homemaker.

While Jackie and Greg were living in Louisville, they would often make trips to Sullivan to visit their long-time friends, The Harper Family. The two families met while stationed in Fort Bragg and kept their lasting friendship even when they were states apart. Jackie and Greg were always here for births, graduations, weddings and any major life event.

Eventually, they decided to move to Sullivan in 2019 to make it their final home. Jackie would often times refer to Sullivan as her safe haven. Jackie was a woman full of love and compassion for others. The was a devoted wife and second mother to so many. She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Greg Hubbell of Bourbon, MO; four nieces/daughters: Brittany Shorey and husband Stephen of Simpsonville, SC, Ashley Pullen and husband Tyler of Jeffersonville, IN, Heather Dutton of Augusta, GA and Kendall Myers of Bourbon, MO; great nieces: Olivia, Brandi, Jaylen, Annie, Abbie, Allie and Landon; a sister, Tina Burris of Brandenburg, KY; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: Larry Corn, Roger Corn, Bobby Duke.

Arrangements for cremation have taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be 4 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes

Association or the American Heart Association.

All arrangements are under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.
