Jackie S. Funkhouser

Jackie S. Funkhouser, 77, of Bourbon, MO passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Meramec Nursing Center.
Jackie Sue Neff was born in Sullivan, MO on November 14, 1944 to Zelmer and Melba (Range) Neff. She grew up and attended school in Bourbon. Jackie was united in marriage to Gary Funkhouser, Sr. on December 8, 1975. Jackie had one son, Greg, and Gary had three children: Gary Jr., Gerry, and Lisa. Jackie loved Gary’s three children as her own, and her son Greg took the last name Funkhouser.
Jackie was a long-time employee of Paramount Cap in Bourbon, MO. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and going to flee markets, yard sales, and auctions. Sadly, Gary preceded Jackie in death on November 13, 2016.
Jackie was quite the prankster; however, the jokes usually ended up being on her by her beloved grandkids. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her pets dearly. Jackie will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Jackie is survived by her children: Greg Funkhouser of Bourbon, MO, Gary Funkhouser, Jr. of Union, MO, Gerry Funkhouser, Sr. and wife Sarah of Sullivan, MO, and Lisa Pruett and husband Mark of Sullivan, MO; eleven grandchildren: Ashley Funkhouser, Sam Funkhouser, Corey Funkhouser and wife Aly, Chad Funkhouser and wife Cassie, Gerry Funkhouser, Jr., Jessica Tackett and husband Marcus, Carson Funkhouser, Bradly Funkhouser, Lauren Nowack and husband Justin, Alexx Wall, and Alesha Crowder and husband Josh; nineteen great-grandchildren: Braxton, Maebell, Caly, Jackson, Camy, Alexis, Emily, Madison, Aaron, Paxton, Perry, Jasmine, Cameron, Zoey, Kenzi, Paige, Levi, Ava, and Luke; a sister-in-law, Ginger Neff of Sullivan, MO; many close friends, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents, Zelmer and Melba Neff; two brothers, Larry and Ron Neff; and her daughter-in-law, Becca Funkhouser.
Funeral services were 12 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Kenny Todd officiating. Interment followed in Bourbon Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
