Imogene D. Busch

Imogene D. Busch, 88 of Sullivan, MO passed away peacefully, on Thursday, September 5, 2024
at her home.
Imogene Darline was born on July 15, 1936 to the late Walter J. and Sarah Esther (Reeves)
Spindler. Imogene grew up and attended school in Sullivan and was a proud graduate of Sullivan
High School, class of 1954. Imogene then would go on to proudly serve in the United States Air
Force until her honorable discharge in 1955.
Her heart’s treasures were her beloved children, Michael and Jamie, who expanded her world
with two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a great – great grandchild. Imogene's
professional journey as a Cost Study Analyst at Fidelity Communications exemplified her sharp
intellect and steadfast work ethic, paralleling her commitment to the Eastern Star Sullivan
Chapter #105 and her fellowship with the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Arie #3781.
Imogene is survived by her daughter Jamie Collins and husband Brad of Bourbon, MO; two
grandchildren, Chris Williams and wife Angie and Tonya Gaither Kanowsky and husband
Michael of Ozark, MO; two great-grandchildren, Allison West and Lucas York; great – great
grandchild, Carter Poebla; one brother, Gary Spindler and wife Mari of Sullivan, MO; other
nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her son, Michael Gaither, four
brothers, Alfred, Cranford, Elmer and Merle Spindler; and two sisters, Barbara Sue Spindler and
Lois Renick.
It was Imogene’s wish to donate her body to science. No services are planned at this time.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
