Harvey H. Kroeker, 85, of Licking, MO, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Sullivan.

Harvey Herman Kroeker was born September 7, 1936 in Roscoe, Nebraska, to John & Frieda (Knake) Kroeker. He grew up and attended school in Marshfield, MO, graduating with the class of 1956. Harvey grew up working on his family farm, milking cows and harvesting crops.

After high school, Harvey worked in various places before going becoming employed by McDonnell Douglas, where he remained until retiring over 40 years later. Harvey met his first wife, Sharon, while working in Saint Louis. They were soon united in marriage in 1959. To their union six children were born: Matt, Jeff, James, Melody, Cheryl and Tina. Together, they raised their family in Burke City, MO. While residing in Burke City, Harvey also served as a reserve officer for Saint Louis County. Sadly, Harvey and Sharon were later divorced.

He later met his second wife, Margaret “Peggy” Ann Renda, at Grace Church in Maryland Heights. They were united in marriage in 1983 and shared 33 years together.

Harvey loved gardening, tinkering with things, and watching old western movies from his large collection. He especially loved to build and fix things. He would do anything for anyone and would have always given the shirt off his back.

Harvey is survived by his six children: Matt Kroeker of Spanaway, WA, Jeff Kroeker and wife Lisa of Dover, PA, James Kroeker of Saint Charles, MO, Melody Mohrman and husband Mike of Overland, MO, Cheryl Kinyon of Sullivan, MO, & Tina Faille of Lake Saint Louis, MO; two sisters, Marguerite Johnston and husband Bill of Marshfield, MO & Shirley Kuykendall and husband Fred of Dallas, OR; and many grandchildren, other extended relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Peggy.

Arrangements for cremation have taken place. A private family service will be planned for a later date.
