Glenn Jake Bertrand, known to many as Jake, passed away on June 12, 2023, in Saint Louis, MO. Born on January 9, 1955, in Sullivan, MO, to Glenn and Betty (Woodcock) Bertrand, Jake lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a strong devotion to his family and friends.

Jake grew up and attended classes within the Sullivan School District. After high school, Jake worked various jobs, including the Pea Ridge Mines, as a self-employed mechanic out of his shop at his house, and even alongside his nephew Joe for a short time in construction.

Jake's true passions in life were his family and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. Jake never turned down an opportunity for a good time. Above all else, he was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.

In addition to his love for the outdoors and family, Jake had a knack for tinkering with things. His curious nature and ability to "piddle" with anything made him a go-to resource for friends and family in need of a fix. Jake was the type of man to give the shirt off his back whenever you would need it.

In his later years, he reconnected with his loving companion, Tina Oshia. The couple shared two wonderful years together, creating many memories filled with joy and laughter. Jake's love for Tina brought out the best in both of them, and their happiness was evident to all who knew them.

Jake is survived by his loving companion, Tina Oshia; three nephews: Josh Starr and wife Shauna of Sullivan, MO, Joe Starr and wife Christie of Bourbon, MO, JJ Starr and wife Samantha of Sullivan, MO; and three grandchildren: Alaina Griffith and fiancé Connor Pritchett of Sullivan, MO, Logan Griffith of Owensville, MO, and Ava Bosch of Sullivan, MO. He also leaves behind many great nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Glenn Bertrand III; a step-daughter, Amy Bosch; his parents, Glenn and Betty and his sister, Donna Starr.

Funeral Service will be 12 PM, Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home with Tom Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Cave Spring Cemetery.
