George Harold Mund

Mund, George Harold of Bourbon, Missouri was born October 15, 1923, in Farmington, Missouri, to George M. and Lillian (nee Eaves) Mund, and entered into rest, Thursday, October 13, 2022, in Sullivan, Missouri, at the age of 98 years, 11 months and 28 days.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Teresa (nee Hembrock) Mund; two siblings, Etta Mae (Jim) Campbell and Ronald (Carol) Mund.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy (James) Brinker and Jane Yount; four grandchildren, Timothy (Lisa) Brinker, Benjamin (An) Yount, Jennifer (Alex Flores Barajas) Yount and Amy (Andrew) Edgar; five great grandchildren, Aiden Edgar, Adelyn Edgar, Anabelle Edgar, Tommy Yount, Madeline Yount and one on the way; along with many other family and friends.

George proudly served his country during World War II. He enjoyed hunting for gold and silver. George was a craftsman, he liked working with his hands doing woodcarvings and silverwork. He and Teresa were snowbirds. They Traveled out west every October- March getting away from the cold weather for 45years. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Service Friday, October 21, 2022 at 9 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
