Frederick Meggison

Frederick A. Meggison Sr., 83, son of Leroy and Ruby Meggison, was born January 5, 1938, in St. Louis, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, in Pacific, MO.

He served in the Navy from 1955 to 1958. After the Navy, he was a fireman in St. Louis for a number of years.  Frederick retired from the ABF freight after 28 years of service. He enjoyed walking his dogs, and working around the house in his retirement years. 

He is survived by one son, Frederick A. Meggison II and wife Amanda of Pacific, MO and loving grandad to Ian Meggison; three step-children, Frances Kuntz, Richard Kuntz and Carol Kuntz-Hicks; two sisters, Dorothy and husband Dean Campbell, Marge and husband Harry Ackermann; sister-in-law Jane Meggison and many other family and friends.

Frederick was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Brooks; brother, Leroy Meggison II; sister, Shirley King and brother, Robert H. Meggison Sr.

Due to restrictions, a private burial will be at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery with full military honors. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
