Frankie Filmore “Frank” Fipps, 74, of Bourbon, MO, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Missouri Baptist Hospital - Sullivan.

Frank was born in Edgar Springs, MO on May 4, 1948 to Edward and Mae (Shimp) Fipps. He grew up and attended school in Edgar Springs, then later in life completed his GED. Frank was united in marriage to the love of his life, Mavis Hinch, on March 4, 1972. Together they were blessed with three children: Christine, Amanda, and Jason. They raised their children in California until 1993 when they relocated to Bourbon, MO to be closer to their family.

Frank and Mavis were true soulmates. They often enjoyed spending time together as a family, vacationing and visiting Reno and San Francisco, CA, as well as traveling across the country while Frank was employed as a truck driver. Frank and Mavis also vacationed to Washington D.C. and toured the city for nearly a week. The Smithsonian was one of their most favorite destinations on their trip.

Frank was a very skilled and intelligent man that enjoyed tinkering with things and he could often be found fixing things for Mavis that she had brought home from Dickey Bub while working there. They enjoyed gardening together and especially treasured time spent with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frank will be so dearly missed and very lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Frank is survived by his three children: Chris McSparrin and husband Patrick of High Ridge, MO, Amanda Alexander and husband Nik of Dixon, MO, and Jason Fipps of Fenton, MO; eleven grandchildren: Melanie, Megan, and Brandon Blasingame, Tristan and Izaiah Christopher, Jadon, Peyton, Kade, and Ethan Fipps, Christopher McSparrin and Patrick McSparrin, Jr.; eight great-grandchildren: Clinton, Hunter, Alaina, Francis, Atticus, Lilly, Jaxon, Isabell, and two more on the way; his puppy dog, Penny; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mavis; his parents, Edward and Mae; a brother, George Fipps; and a sister, Sarah Mae Bruno.

Funeral Services were 1 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Sell officiating.

Visitation was 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
