Evelyn F. Graddy
Evelyn F. Graddy, 85 of Leasburg, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
Evelyn F. Bayless was one of ten children born to Charles E. and Frances (Hansell) Bayless on January 31, 1938, in Cuba, MO. She grew up and attended school in Bourbon. Evelyn was married to Ben Graddy on December 25, 1954, and six children were born. Evelyn was employed by Apollo Fireworks in Stanton for eight years and as a care giver for disabled citizens for twenty years. She enjoyed flower gardening, working puzzles, and caring for her twelve, very fat, stray cats. Evelyn left a large legacy in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will forever in the hearts of her family and many friends.
Evelyn is survived by her six children, Debra Borgmeyer and husband Kenneth of Union, MO, Rodger Graddy and wife Barbara of Twin Falls, Idaho, Larry Graddy of Bourbon, MO, Mark Graddy and wife Michelle of High Ridge, MO, Randy Graddy and wife Cherie of Farmington, New Mexico, Denise Cannon of Leasburg, MO; 19 grandchildren: Michael Graddy and wife Gloria, Brian Graddy and wife Courtney, Derek Graddy and wife Crystal, KC Smalley and wife Lindsay, Mark Graddy and wife Julia, Alicia Thompson and husband Shannon, Seth Walker, Dylan Walker, Crystal Todd, Melissa Gall and boyfriend Eric Schwentker, Cody Dunham and wife Kyleigh, Tia Dunham, Charlyne Schatzl, Ben Graddy, Kati Loness, Larry Graddy, Jr., Akira Graddy, Corry Graddy and Ethan Graddy; 33 great-grandchildren: Trenton, Serrena, Chloe, Alexia, Madison, Alissa, Resse, Grace, Chris, Jadyn, Landon, Silas, Paxton, Axyl, Zoey, Ian, Tripp, Hailey, Carter, Carson, Brooklen, Trevor, Aiden, Shane, Camren, Cooper, Riley, Jake, Isabelle, Kylie, Pete and Emberlyn; and one great-great-grandchild, Hakeem; three sisters: Alice McClary of St. Louis, Mo, Bonnie Richardson of St. Charles, MO, and Donna Eaton of St. Louis, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, George and Frances (Hansell) Bayless; one grandchild, Shantel Graddy; two brothers: Robert and George Bayless; and four sisters: Jaunita Hamilton, Leona Kozan, Norma Hamilton, Beth Hamilton.
