Eleanor “Ellie” Elizabeth Levart, 84, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 9, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Ellie was born August 3, 1936 at home, in Potosi, Missouri, to Lonnie Walker and Dorothy Elizabeth (Smith) Henson. She was the first born of five children. Darlene, Lester, Erma and Wilber would follow. When she was a toddler, the family moved to New Offenburg, MO.

As a teenager, while at church one Sunday morning, Ellie caught the eye of a young veteran, Milford Levart. They were married on September 8, 1951. They were blessed with two children, Kevin Wayne and Deborah Kaye.

Ellie got bored after her two children left the nest, so she went to work at Sullivan Elementary and became head cook. After several years, she retired to do her favorite things with Milford. They would visit their place at the Lake of the Ozarks, where they would fish and relax with family and friends. They would also travel to South Carolina to visit Ellie’s only surviving sister, Erma, and her husband, Vernon Westmoreland. Ellie loved to walk the beach, shop for anything, decorate her home and plant flowers in her yard. Her grandkids could do no wrong and she loved spending time with them. Ellie’s church family meant the world to her and she taught young girls Sunday school for many years. She truly enjoyed life to the fullest.

Ellie is survived by her husband, Milford Levart, of Sullivan, MO; two children: Debbie Hall and husband, Troy, of Sullivan, MO, and Kevin Levart and wife, Sallie, of St. Clair, MO; five grandchildren: Christina, Duane, Randal, Kevin Wayne II and Joseph; twelve great-grandchildren: Melissa, Sarah, Michael, McKenzie, Neelah, Logan, Eli, Paisley, Draiden, Faith, Kaidee and Langston; six great-great-grandchildren: Aden, Madison, Sirena, Dameon, Hunter and Maxwell; one sister, Erma Westmoreland of South Carolina; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Dorothy Henson; two brothers: Lester and Wilbur Henson; and one sister, Darlene Herzog.

Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Full Gospel Assembly of God in Sullivan.

Funeral Services were 10 a.m., Friday, May 14, 2021 at Full Gospel Assembly of God, with Pastor Ryan Martin officiating. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan.
