Edward M. Weekes

Edward “Ed” Matthew Weekes passed away on November 13, 2021 at Siteman Cancer Center Barnes Hospital. Ed was born January 31, 1952 at Sullivan Hospital. His parents were Ed and Hazel Weekes. He grew up and was a 1970 graduate in Sullivan, MO.

After high school, he went on to be a journeyman carpenter and a member of the Carpenters District Union Council in St. Louis, MO and a volunteer fireman with the Sullivan Fire Dept. for many years.

He was united in marriage to Terri (Wichita) Weekes on February 12, 1985. To this union, two children were born: daughter Meagan Weekes and son Edward Matthew Weekes Jr.

Ed became a grandpa in 2002 to grandson Gregory Michael Fulton and cherished the role with all his heart. Ed loved hunting, fishing, camping, BBQing and shopping, especially with the family.

Ed is survived by wife Terri; daughter Meagan and husband Wallace Fulton and grandson Gregory Fulton; son Edward M. Weekes Jr.; and brother Royal Buddy Weekes and wife Rose of St. Clair.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Hazel Weekes; father, Edward L. Weekes; brothers David and Ronnie Weekes; and sister Arlene Simpson Weekes of Cuba.

Arrangements for cremation have taken place. Per his wishes, a private graveside burial will take place at a future date.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
