Doris Leona was born January 13, 1932 in Moselle, MO to Benjamin J. and Minnie A. (Hagedorn) Unnerstall. She grew up and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Villa Ridge, MO. They moved again in 1958, to Stanton, MO, where they became involved with the family business, Hammers Store. Eventually, Doris became a licensed cosmetologist and worked out of the family home as a hairdresser for many years.

In retirement, Doris enjoyed traveling with Warren. She hosted many family gatherings and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
