Doris Irene Chapman Hall

Doris Irene Chapman Hall, 91, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2022 at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.

Doris was born Jan. 20, 1931, to Arthur and Nellie (Brickey) Bruce in Wright County, Mo.

She was united in marriage to Clarence (Chippie) Chapman on Nov. 24, 1949, at St. Louis.

Irene accepted Christ at the age of 11 years and remained a faithful Christian until her death. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Owensville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur and Nellie Bruce; her husband, Clarence (Chippie) Chapman; three sons, Ronald, Ed, and Bruce Chapman; and several brothers and sisters.

Her survivors include her daughter, Glenna Linenbroker and husband Ed of Rosebud; daughter-in-law, Mary Chapman of Rosebud; sister-in-law, Sue Bruce of Wentzville; grandchildren, Judy, Scott, Kendra, Angela, Clay, Jessica, Joe, and Irene; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 15, from 1-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. At her request, her body was donated to science at the St. Louis University School of Medicine.
