Donald Gene Parker, 70, of Bourbon, MO, passed away peacefully, at his home, on Monday, April 11, 2022.

Donald was born in Washington County, MO, on October 5, 1951, to Van and Hazel (Burns) Parker. He grew up and attended school in Sullivan and soon went to work at various factories in the area. He was later blessed with two children, Melissa & Jeremy. He continued to raise his family in Sullivan while employed by Maverick and Steelweld for 25+ years.

Outside of working, Donald loved to spend time outdoors, go fishing, watch movies, and gather with friends and family. He especially loved his grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his two children, Melissa Van Leer and husband Steve of Beaufort, MO and Jeremy Parker of Topeka, KS; two grandchildren, Ben & Jeremiah; other extended relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: James, Charles & Ray Parker; and three sisters: Opal Hammonds, Evelyn Skorz and Betty Ransom.

Arrangements for cremation have taken place. No services are planned at this time.
