Dennis D. Woolard

Dennis D. Woolard, 78, of Cuba, MO, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Phelps Health – Rolla.

Dennis Dwight Woolard was born July 11, 1943 in Eldorado, IL to Romey D. and Gladys (Pittman) Woolard. He grew up and attended and graduated from Harrisburg, IL High School, class of 1961. Dennis was united in marriage to Brenda Norton on May 14, 1972. They lived in Metropolis, IL for many years, prior to moving to Cuba in 2004. Dennis drove a truck for most of his working life.

In his younger years, Dennis enjoyed camping with his family. He also loved cowboy movies, especially John Wayne, listening to Johnny Cash, and drinking his Coca-Cola. Dennis will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Woolard, of Cuba, MO; three children: Trina Smith and husband Lee of St. Louis, MO, Steven Peak and wife Cathy of Millersville, MO, and Greg Peak of Sullivan, MO; four grandchildren: Minda Williams of Cuba, MO, Nicholas Williams of Cuba, MO, Michael Harper of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Frank Harper and wife Missy of Cape Girardeau, MO; one great-grandchild, Kylie; Brenda’s Aunt & Uncle, Tom and Mary Harper of Millersville, MO; additional family: Shannon Hawn, Spencer and kids of Salem, MO, Christy Halbert of Cuba, MO, and Cody King of Cuba, MO; longtime friends, Brenda and Stanley Harvell of Wickliffe, KY and Dale and Lisa Turner of Wickliffe, KY; and other extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Romey and Gladys.

Cremation arrangements will take place. No services are planned at this time.
