David J. Young
David J. “Buddy” Young, 71, of Ironton, MO, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Washington County Memorial Hospital – Potosi.
David John Young was born on February 19, 1950 in Jefferson City, MO to Heinz and Virginia H. (Diels) Young. He grew up and attended school in Sullivan. Buddy worked locally as a self-employed carpenter for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Buddy is survived by his two daughters, Renee Young of St. Louis, MO and Chasity Young of Ohio; three brothers: Billy Young and wife Charlene of Sullivan, MO, Ralph Young and wife Diane of Arkansas, and Oroville Young and wife Lisa of Sullivan, MO; one sister, Sylvia Lang and husband Mike of Park Hills, MO; three grandchildren: John Swartz, Kody Jeffery and Elaina Mason; special companion, Linda Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hines and Virginia; and two sisters, Ann Young and Janice Stephens.
Funeral Services will be 12 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor David Godad officiating. Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
