Daisy Campbell

Daisy E. Campbell, age 86, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Meramec Nursing Center of Sullivan. 

Daisy Ellen was born in Roodhouse, IL, December 12, 1934, the daughter of Jay and Sarah (Sutton) Haney. She was united in marriage to James Campbell on August 18, 1956, and on their last anniversary, they celebrated 64 years together. Jim and Daisy were blessed with four sons: Mark, Randy, Tim and Paul. 

Daisy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and taught first grade for many years. She was very musical and played several instruments, including the French Horn, Flute, Piano and the Ukulele. Daisy also enjoyed sewing, crafting and scrapbooking. During their retirement years, Jim and Daisy spent many summers in their camper, in Branson, MO. Daisy was a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan.  

Daisy is survived by her husband, Jim Campbell, of Sullivan, MO; four sons: Mark Campbell and wife, Val, of Colorado Springs, CO, Randy Campbell and wife, Patty, of Sullivan, MO, Tim Campbell and wife, Pam, of Oak Grove, MO, and Paul Campbell and wife, Billie, of Clinton, MS; eight grandchildren: Abbie Campbell of Colorado Springs, CO, Lydia Gardner and husband, Broden, of Colorado Springs, CO, David Campbell and wife, Rachel, of Colorado Springs, CO, Chris Campbell of Sullivan, MO, Ashley Elbert and husband, Nathan, of St. Charles, MO, Dylan Campbell of Valley Park, MO, Collin Campbell of Pensacola, FL, and Rachel Campbell of Clinton, MS; one step grandson, David Barnett and wife, Lyndsi, of Virginia; seven great-grandchildren: Lilly, Charles, Anabelle, George, James, Peter and Silas, and one more on the way; one sister, Dorothy Woodruff of New Mexico; a special niece, Kay Harfst and husband, Bob, of Gray Summit, MO; and many more nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kate Campbell; her parents, Jay and Sarah Haney; three brothers: John, Haus and infant brother, Jay Haney; and one sister, Trulah Crider. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, MO, with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Interment follow in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan. 

Visitation were held from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Temple Baptist Church. 

Memorial contributions in Daisy’s memory may be made to Temple Baptist Church. 

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan.
