Connie A. Johnson, 67, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023, in Sullivan, MO.

Connie Ann Johnson was born on March 13, 1956, in Saint Louis, MO, to the late Lawrence and Doris (Baker) Mattli. Connie grew up and attended school in Saint Louis and was a proud graduate of Hazelwood High School, class of 1974.

After graduation, she embarked on a career as a Probation/Parole Officer. She later transitioned into the legal field, where she served as an office manager for a law firm for many years. Her professional journey was marked by her dedication, hard work, and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Those who knew Connie will remember her as a huge fan of the Cardinals and the Saint Louis Blues. She loved the excitement of the game. She enjoyed traveling to Sullivan and spending time with Jack's family, often enjoying a good meal at the local DuKum Inn.

A lover of classic movies, "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" and "To Kill a Mockingbird" were some of her favorites. She also loved watching "Everybody Loves Raymond” alongside her devoted husband, Jack. Connie was very creative in her ability to crochet nearly anything! Some of her favorites were small animals that she would often gift to her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and never turned down a game of Scrabble against her sister, Vicki.

She is survived by her husband, Jack of Saint Louis, MO; a brother, Paul Mattli and wife Sherry of Saint Charles, MO; two sisters, Vicki Grillo and husband Tony of Fenton, MO and Laura McCune and husband Keith of Barnhart, MO; three beloved sister-in-laws, Linda Cuneio and husband Dean, Sheila Savant and husband Tubby, and Michele Busse and husband Mike all of Sullivan. Connie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Doris, and her beloved pup, Gus.

Funeral Services will be 12 PM, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home with Father Paul Telken celebrating. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Sullivan.

Visitation will be 10 AM – 12 PM, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the Eaton Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service.
