Claude “Gene” Quick, 77 of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at his home with his wife by his side.

Claude Raymond Eugene Quick known as Gene was born on September 28, 1945 in Cresant, MO to the late Claud W. and Lydia J. (Branson) Quick. He honorably served his country in the United States Air force from November 5, 1965 to February 14, 1969. Gene was very proud of his military service and was a true patriot. He was also a life-time member of the Sullivan VFW Post 3987.  In March of 1970 Gene was united in marriage to Cheri Marie Farmar and they enjoyed 52 years together and were blessed with two sons, Robert and Kenneth. Gene was a hard worker and was employed by Gateway Extrusion in Union, MO retiring in 2020. Gene loved cars, “Fords” in particular. Gene was a homebody and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Gene is survived by his wife Cheri Quick of Sullivan, MO; two sons, Robert Quick and wife Josie of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kenneth Quick and wife Gina of Kirkwood, MO; three grandchildren, Rylan, Gavin and Tycha Quick; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Lydia Quick; one brother, Robert Quick; and three sisters, Hazel Fowler, Frances Brotherton and Georgia Howard.

Graveside services will be private. Gene will be laid to rest at National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, MO with full military honors.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
