Chester Hollingshead Sr.

Chester William Hollingshead, Sr., 67, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

Chester was born on May 22, 1954 in Sullivan, MO, to Oscar and Mary (Gandy) Hollingshead. He grew up attending school in Sullivan. Chester was united in marriage to Donna Zieres on December 15, 1978 and to their union four children were born: Marilyn, Chester Jr., Robert and Chris.

Chester was employed by the City of Sullivan Parks Department for several years, retiring in 2007. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Chester loved his wife, children and grandchildren dearly. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends.

Chester is survived by his wife, Donna Hollingshead of Sullivan, MO; three of his children: Chester (Chet) Hollingshead, Jr., Robert Hollingshead (Sherl Granger) and Chris Hollingshead (Rachel West) all of Sullivan, MO; sixteen grandchildren: Trey, Jesse, Zachary, Alexis, Mercedes and Harley Setzer, Austin Boyer, Brayden Brueggemann, Jordan McKellips, Taylor, Katlyn, Damon, Chelsea and Madison Hollingshead, Veta Neal and Bella Hawley; one great-grandson, Tobias; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Boyer; his parents, Oscar and Mary Hollingshead; and parents-in-law, Donald and Della Zieres.

Cremation services have taken place. There will be no services at this time.
