Cheryl Ann Stricker, 70, of Leslie, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 3, 2024. Born on July 11, 1953, in Kirkwood, MO, to Edward and Mildred (Ludwig) Agnew, Cheryl was a woman whose creative soul and loving heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Cheryl, a proud graduate of Kirkwood High School, class of 1971, spent the majority of her career as an office manager for various medical offices across the greater St. Louis area. Her impeccable organization skills and warm demeanor made her a beloved figure among her colleagues and the patients she served.

On February 11, 1984, Cheryl married the love of her life, James Stricker Jr.. The couple initially settled in Ballwin, Missouri, and later moved to Ellisville, where they built a life together filled with love and shared dreams. In 1996, Cheryl and Jim took a leap of faith and moved to their farm in Leslie. There, Cheryl's passion for the outdoors and her pioneering spirit flourished. She thrived on the challenges of farm life, from running cattle to raising horses and tending to her beloved garden.

Cheryl's love for her dogs was unmatched, as they were her constant companions on the farm. Her garden was her sanctuary, a place where she cultivated not only flowers but also joy and tranquility. She found great pleasure in quilting with friends from her church, creating beautiful tapestries that were as much a testament to her artistry as to her ability to forge strong bonds within her community.

A true woman of faith, Cheryl was baptized on August 23, 1953, at Concordia Lutheran Church in her hometown of Kirkwood. Her commitment to her Lutheran roots was evident in her active membership at St. John Lutheran Church of Beaufort, where she participated wholeheartedly in church activities and formed lifelong friendships.

Though Cheryl and Jim were unable to have children of their own, Cheryl had a special place in her heart for children. She extended her maternal warmth to the children in her life, nurturing and cherishing them as if they were her own. Her nurturing touch and genuine interest in their wellbeing left a profound impact on many young lives.

Cheryl's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to follow one's heart. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Her life was a testament to the power of living authentically and with purpose, and she will forever be remembered as a true pioneer woman with a heart as vast as the countryside she adored.
