Cecilia Fay King
Cecilia Fay King, 75, of Sullivan, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
Cecilia was born in De Soto, MO on November 22, 1946 to Cecil and Beatrice (Boston) Vivrett. She grew up and attended school in De Soto and graduated with the class of 1964. Cecilia was united in marriage to Pat O’Daniel “Danny” King on May 30, 1964 at the United Church of Christ in De Soto. To this union they were blessed with two daughters, Brenda and Angela. They lived in Fenton prior to moving to Sullivan in 1976. They raised their family here.
Through the years, Cecilia worked for Aero Metal Finishing in Fenton, Sullivan Precision Metal Finishing, and Ozark Technologies in Cuba, MO. She enjoyed going on family hikes, watching the humming birds in her flower beds, and watching deer across the street from her home. Cecilia also enjoyed card games and word search puzzles. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
Cecilia is survived by her two daughters, Brenda F. Barch of Sullivan, MO and Angela L. Craft of Cuba, MO; four grandchildren: Daniel Sappington of Chicago, IL, Hanna Barch of Sullivan, MO, Katelynn Craft of Cuba, MO, and Megan Wriley of Cuba, MO; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Andrews and Reagan Caraway – and one more great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Patrick Brown and wife Renee of Festus, MO; one sister, Rita Mason of Festus, MO; other extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat “Danny” King; one great-grandson, Diego Barch; her parents, Cecil and Beatrice Vivrett; one brother, Vern Vivrett; and three sisters: Leota Wilson, Patsy Vivrett, and Jackie Pitzer.
A Remembrance Memorial Service was held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan – Pastor John Blackmore officiated.
Visitation was held from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
