Carole R. Blankenship, 48, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.

Carole Rebecca Blankenship was born in Sullivan, Missouri, January 5, 1973, to Wayne Bosek and Etta Mae Wilkson. She grew up and attended school in the Sullivan area, including Saint Anthony Catholic School and Spring Bluff. Carole was blessed with her first child, Aschlea, in 1989, then her son, Michael, in 1991 and her second daughter, Jenna, in 1992. She raised her children as a single mother, while working full time at the Circle N in Bourbon for 15 – 20 years.

Later in life, Carole was united in marriage to Dean Blankenship, on June 5, 2013, while overlooking the Missouri River in Hermann, Missouri. Together, they shared many special memories and simply enjoyed just being in each other’s company. They especially loved to spend time outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. Carole loved to find arrowheads, make dream catchers, play pool, and spend time with her grandchildren. She also always looked forward to spending time with her Blankenship family at their family gatherings and reunions.

Carole is survived by her husband, Dean Blankenship, of Sullivan, MO; two daughters: Aschlea Melton and husband, Ronnie, of Springfield, MO, and Jenna Limberopoulos and husband, Caleb, of Sullivan, MO; a son, Michael Dean and wife, Tiffany, of Sullivan, MO; six grandchildren: Elizabeth and Katy Dean, Lucas Dean, Kinnley and Presley Limberopoulos, and Maesen Melton; a brother, Darrel LaPlant and wife, Patty, of Sullivan, MO; three brothers-in-law: Kevin Blankenship and wife, Sue, David Blankenship and wife, Shelby, and Paul Blankenship and wife Mandy; three sisters-in-law: Kathy Janish and husband, John, Diane Moss and husband, Bill, and Pauline Blankenship; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Etta; a sister, Judy Spoon; her father-in-law, Bill Blankenship; and brother-in-law, Steve Blankenship.

Visitation was held 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass was at 11 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Sullivan.
